LOUIS XIV King of France - Signed letter with autograph signature and word - 1710. Letter with signature by the hand of the King and autograph word "good", Versailles, December 15, 1710, 1 p. Reinforced folds on the back with Japanese paper, otherwise good condition. Next to the signature "Louis" by his secretary, the Sun King added a word and affixed his autograph signature: "good - Louis". Very rare and interesting document because it perfectly illustrates the difficulty in authenticating the royal signature of Louis XIV: on the right is the signature "Louis" by his secretary and on the left is the signature "Louis" which is that of the king himself.

Thanks to this type of document, one can observe the extreme resemblance between the 2 signatures and the impossibility of affirming the royal signature on any document.
