Jacques Chardonne, pen name of Jacques Boutelleau, born in Barbezieux on January 2, 1884 and died in La Frette-sur-Seine on May 29, 1968, is a French writer and publisher. As the elder of writer Pierre-Henri Simon from Charente, he was part of the Barbezieux Group with Geneviève Fauconnier, Henri Fauconnier, Maurice Delamain, Jacques Delamain, Germaine Boutelleau, although this "geographical" group did not share the same views.

Considered an extreme right-wing author, he, along with Paul Morand, is one of the spiritual fathers of what were called "The Hussars", writers Roger Nimier, Jacques Laurent, Antoine Blondin and Michel Déon. Lot of 12 autographed letters signed by Jacques Chardonne (accompanied by 3 typewritten letters signed by Camille Chardonne) addressed to Louis Guitard and Ginette Guitard-Auviste (biographer of Jacques Chardonne) in 1962 and 1967 - good condition, folds related to mailing - with some of their envelopes. Jacques Chardonne wishes to prepare the sale of his house in La Frette and seeks advice from his lawyer friend Louis Guitard.
