Doctor, academic, historian, writer, and Spanish thinker. He is part of "the generation of '14." The letter is on cream paper, with a black printed letterhead of his name Dr.

Marañón and his address Castellana 63, handwritten in dark blue ink, dated September 5, 1958. Written on the front only.

Italian format 22.5 x 16 cm. The sheet has been folded in half, probably to fit into an envelope.

In the same city, he is. Married to Dolores Moyia in 1911. Gregorio Marañón has three daughters and one son (Carmen, Bethlehem, María Isabel, and Gregorio).

He is considered one of the brightest Spanish intellectuals of the century, due to his scholarship and elegant literary style. He is an early republican and fights against the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera. But later he becomes a resolute opponent of communism. His mother dies when he is only three years old.

A very avid reader, he masters English. He knows and socializes during his youth with his father's friends like José María de Pereda, Alfredo Vicenti, Marcelino Menéndez y Pelayo, and Benito Pérez Galdós. At the faculty of medicine, he has five great professors: Federico Olóriz y Aguilera, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, Juan Madinaveitia, Manuel Alonso Sañudo, and Alejandro San Martín y Satrústegui. He becomes a professor in this specialty at the Complutense University of Madrid starting in 1931.

He is president of the National Society of Geography from June 1932 to June 1934. Founder of the Institute of Medical Pathology, president of the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology and the Institute of Biological Research, he contributes to establishing the relationship between psychology.

He is also the founder of the Spanish League for Sexual Reform, a branch of the World League for Sexual Reform, for which Hildegart Rodríguez Carballeira. In total, he has over 80 works to his credit, half a thousand scientific or popular articles, and numerous prefaces, with around 220 counted.
