Autographed letter signed by Simone Plé - Caussade (1897-1986) from 1925. Letter addressed to Alfred Cortot. Document dimensions: 26.5 x 20.5 cm. I forgot to give you my new address yesterday.

If you had the opportunity, as you charmingly intended yesterday, to send me students this summer, I hope my absence does not frighten them. I am perfectly fine if you and they prefer to receive them at... where I have a studio twice a week, while waiting for the chance to find an apartment in central Paris. Shall I again express how deeply I was touched by the reception you gave me yesterday? I hold a very deep gratitude for you, which adds to the gratitude I have always had for the master who so magnificently guided me in an art to which I owe everything.

Please, my dear master, convey all my best wishes for health to Madame Alfred Cortot and receive, for her and for yourself, the assurance of my complete devotion. I also forgot to mention two or three of my students to whom I would like to have your interpretation classes next year.

One of these students, Miss Germaine Taglier (a friend of Marthe Morlange who recommended her to me a year ago), particularly interests me, and I hope you will kindly welcome them, and in any case, I will speak to you about it in due time.
