Autographed letter signed "Colette de Jouvenel" to a "dear colleague" [Paris], n. (between November 1916 and December 1926), 1 p. In-4° on light blue paper with her address letterhead from 69, boulevard Suchet. Small splits at the folds, traces of creasing due to the folding at the time.

Colette regrets not having been able to meet her correspondent during her trip to Nice. I only spent a few hours in Nice. Would you write to me at my home? Believe me, yours in a truly fraternal way, Colette de Jouvenel." This letter must have been written between November 1916 and December 1926, when Colette was residing at 69, boulevard Suchet.

The Jouvenel couple had settled into what was still a small private hotel at the time in the 16th arrondissement, at the edge of Auteuil and the Bois de Boulogne. After their breakup and Henry de Jouvenel's departure in 1923, Colette would live there until 1926.
