Roger Martin du Gard was a French writer, novelist, playwright, short story writer, diarist, and letter writer born on March 23, 1881, in Neuilly-sur-Seine and died on August 22, 1958, at Château du Tertre, in Sérigny. He was the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1937.
