Size: 16.5 x 21cm. Original edition of this amusing pamphlet written by André Breton and Paul Éluard: “POET SEEKS model for poems. René Char introduces the first solo exhibition (drawings and gouaches) of Mario Prassinos at the Billiet-Vorms gallery in 1938.

The latter will distance himself from surrealism starting in 1939. A volunteer during the war, he is wounded and receives the Croix de guerre.

In 1942, he becomes associated with Raymond Queneau and collaborates with the NRF publishing house for which he creates book designs and a large number of well-known NRF covers among bibliophiles.
