Autographed letter signed by Paul Leroy Beaulieu, dated February 22. Written in black ink on a sheet of watermarked paper with the letterhead of his address at 27, Avenue du Bois de Boulogne. "Dear Sir, As I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the marriage of your son, please allow me to apologize for my absence at the ceremony. I am held up on Saturday until 2:30 PM at the institute, and it is with great regret that I will be unable to attend the service at the Temple.
