MONTMORENCY-LAVAL Autographed letter signed Countess
MONTMORENCY-LAVAL - Signed autograph letter - Countess. A deputy to the Estates-General of 1789, he emigrated to Switzerland. During the Restoration, he became a field marshal, peer of France, minister of Foreign Affairs, and was a member of the French Academy. Autographed letter signed "de Montmcy," addressed to a countess, Paris, October 8, 1822, 1 page in 8, address on the back. In the letter, he expresses his concern for the countess's health and wishes to meet her.
