It is therefore our hope that after a very long and very severe recovery, our illustrious friend will be able to resume a normal life. I say "normal" because it will now have to ban itself from the superhuman work it once imposed.

However, I believe that, in the most favourable case, he will still be able to play a magisterial role as adviser, moderator, referee, brake.
