Maurice Alphonse Jacques Fombeure, born on September 23, 1906 in Jardres and died on January 1, 1981 in La Verrière in the Yvelines, was a French writer and poet. He also received the Grand Prix de poésie from the Académie française.

André Salmon, born on October 4, 1881 in Paris and died on March 12, 1969 in Sanary-sur-Mer, was a French writer, poet, novelist, journalist, and art critic. He was one of the major defenders of Cubism alongside Guillaume Apollinaire and Maurice Raynal.
