Autograph letter signed, dated November 8, 1911. Here are two very large books, not entertaining all the way through, and in which there are, for a man as well informed as you are, many unnecessary things. Would you allow me to point out what may, it seems to me, interest you? I believe you will find, in particular, in these pages, some interesting questions for your wit, serious as it is on occasion. You are very nobly defending the cause of true Art, and you will see that in this work I am trying to train the serious reader in musical learning.

Marie François Maurice Emmanuel, born on May 2, 1862 in Bar-sur-Aube and died in Paris on December 14, 1938, was a French composer and musicologist. Dimensions: 10.9 x 16.6 cm.
