Autographed letter signed by Marcel Aymé, addressed to Pierre Lhoste, dated April 15, 1936, with a small drawing showing his "talent" as a draftsman. Dear Sir, I am responding to your inquiry for Paris-Midi with the regret of not having anything more interesting to communicate to you 1° I do not draw 2° Illustrating books is a very pleasant thing 3° Yes 4° No Please accept, dear sir, my sincere regards.

I assure you that I am truly embarrassed. Biography of Pierre Lhoste: A prominent journalist, he began his career in 1932 as a writer for "Paris-Midi," before contributing to the publications "Écoutes," "Marianne," and "Marianne Magazine." He served as editor-in-chief for "Nuit et Jour" and was appointed director of the record collection "Témoignages" at Pathé-Marconi. In 1948, he found his true calling on the radio, hosting hundreds of shows with personalities such as Maurice Genevoix, Pagnol, Troyat, Maurice Schumann, Hervé Bazin, Cardinal Danièlou, René Clair, Armand Lanoux, and many others. He also conducted interviews with figures such as Mauriac, Mac Orlan, Cocteau, Mathieu, Le Clézio, and many more. Dimensions: 20.7 x 26.7 cm. Condition: See photos for more details.
