This year we proceed by dozens of lessons. We take the twelve chapters of Tolstoy's Ivan the Fool which we translate in the same way by adding a brief summary out loud in French about the reading or a judgment on the work.

She sometimes translates word for word, especially poems, also relying on works translated into English, such as Zola's Work, or on readings in French, such as Balzac's Father Goriot. She specifies that she plans to publish her method in England, after giving news of the Russian revolutionary Goworouchine, also known as Gregorieff: No, poor Gregorieff is not lifted out of misery. The announcement of his Russian lessons is placed every two or three days in the Intransigent but he has no luck. Achille Vauvelle completes this letter, thanking Alexandre Roy for sending a book on color photography, expressing doubts about the use of colors that only exist through contrast: I fear bright colors and the lack of harmony in the final result.
