Beautiful signed autograph letter to Thierry Maulnier, 1949. French writer, philosopher, and editorialist. A fine signed autograph letter from Louis Jouvet, addressed to Thierry Maulnier. Written in blue ink on a sheet of watermarked vellum paper with the letterhead of the Athénée, Théâtre de Louis Jouvet.

A beautiful letter in which Louis Jouvet analyzes the play The Profanator and shares his dramaturgical appreciation. He indicates that he has now appropriated the work and offers a critical reading based on two main objections: first, a question of "opportunity," and second, a question of "sensitivity." This reflection highlights Jouvet's artistic demands and rigor in examining the text and its reception by the public.
