Black ink on two sheets with an original drawing depicting a cat. British stamp from a commemorative series celebrating the bicentenary of the Grand Junction Canal (1793–1993). Postal cancellation on the envelope with an advertising insert promoting Nestlé Quality Street sweets. Circular date stamp on the envelope mentioning the postal sorting center of SOUTH DEVON.

The cancellation date in the center is 12 DEC 95 (December 12, 1995). Written in the midst of the winter 1995 strikes in France against the Juppé plan, this letter offers a fascinating comparative analysis between the French social situation and the consequences of Thatcherism in Great Britain. Letter dimensions: 13.6 x 17.7 cm. Envelope dimensions: 17.5 x 13.5 cm.

Condition of the letter: Very good overall condition. The paper is very fresh and the black ink is perfectly contrasted, making the text and drawing very clear.
