Versailles, May 22, 1789, 2 pp in-8. In this letter written shortly after the opening of the States General (May 5, 1789), the author is the voice of the locals rustaing near tarbes that were not included in any bailiwick or seneschal meeting: they have accordingly taken a deliberation in which they expose their motives and their hopes in the justice of the king and his ministers. He was elected to the Constituent and the Convention with the plain before rallying to the mountain.
He was one of the greatest speakers of the revolution.
