Charles Maurras (April 20, 1868 – November 16, 1952) was a French journalist, essayist, politician and poet, and member of the French academy. Around leon daudet, jacques bainville, and maurice pujo, he directed the French action newspaper, the spearhead of the homonymous movement, of royalist, nationalist and counter-revolutionary inspiration, which became the main intellectual and political movement of the far right under the third republic. Henry Lémery (December 9, 1874 – April 26, 1972) was a French politician. Autograph letter signed charles Maurras addressed to henry lémery - 4 pages on a double sheet size 14 x 21 - paper with header of the newspaper "l'action française" - bets, 24 April 1936 - very good condition, folds related to the shipment - with its envelope. Urgent letter sent to Henry lémery in the early morning of Friday 24 April 1936 concerning a mysterious "revolutionary national party".

I am informed last night that a group of young people, entitled "National Revolutionary Party" would have succeeded in taking as an organ your newspaper the independent who would have agreed to publish its convocations. However, of this group of young people I know well, I would have to share with you the most serious information with the most pressing warnings. I would be happy if, as soon as possible, we could have a conversation about this. In the meantime, I would be very grateful if you could trust me and give orders to the printing press this morning so that we can stop inserting any note from this "revolutionary national party".

By asking you to excuse what is unusual in my necessary approach, I would like to express to you, dear Minister, my most distinguished and devoted sentiments. This item is in the category "collections\letters, old papers\autographs\historical persons".
