Signed autograph letter from Julien Green. Written in blue ink on a sheet of fine wove paper.

A letter of literary interest, very likely addressed to Thierry Maulnier, in which Julien Green agrees to provide about ten pages of his Journal for the magazine La Table Ronde, during his post-war production. He requests that the payment terms be aligned with those given to François Mauriac and proposes to send his text in the following days for publication in the March issue. "Dear Sir, I thank you for your kind letter and will be happy to give you about ten pages of my journal for 'La Table Ronde.' Regarding the terms, I would ask you to give me what you give, for example, to François Mauriac.

If we agree on this point, I will send you my text within the next two or three days, so that you can include it in the March issue. Please believe, dear Sir, in my most sympathetic feelings." An interesting letter for the editorial history of Julien Green's Journal and for the relationships between the author and the team of La Table Ronde in the aftermath of the war. Dimensions: 18.5 x 26.6 cm.

Condition: See photos and description for more details. Number of pages: 1 page.
