Paris, Charavay frères, [1884]; 12mo of 58 pp. Bradel half-morocco in Havana with corners, golden filet, smooth spine adorned with the title in gold along the spine, golden initials at the top and bottom, top edge gilt, untrimmed, cover (binding of the period). Original edition of this collection of observations and thoughts, dedicated to Théodore de Banville. It is also enriched with a letter from Julia Daudet (3 pages on 2 cards of bristol paper in her name), in which she thanks Sarcey for his article and discusses the importance of a comma. The journalist had extensively covered this book for Le XIX.
