In particular, he recounts the trepanation of an apollinary whose skull had received a shrapnel of shells on 17 March 1916: "My dear friend, you have been quiet for some time. I'm not blaming your silence, but I'm always worried about the lack of news. Apollinaire has been trepaned and he's getting better now. Alsotot operated the simptomes of paralise disappeared [apollinaire trepané le 10 mai au val de grâce à paris].
