In this letter, Jean Schlumberger expresses surprise at the inactivity of La Table Ronde and inquires about the fate of a few pages he had entrusted to them for publication. He particularly mentions his anticipation regarding an edition of "Partage du Midi" - a major work by Paul Claudel - for which La Table Ronde was preparing a reissue, which indeed appeared in 1947. Pseudonym of Jacques Talagrand, born October 1, 1909, in Alès and died January 9, 1988, in Marnes-la-Coquette, he was a French writer, philosopher, and committed editorialist, who moved from L'Action française to Le Figaro. Born August 6, 1868, in Villeneuve-sur-Fère, died February 23, 1955, in Paris, he was a French playwright, poet, essayist, and diplomat, member of the Académie française.
