He invites his correspondent to have tea, as he will soon be going on a cruise and the preparations are taking up all his time, so he cannot respond to the received invitation. He ends by indicating the best way to reach his home.

Jean-Baptiste Étienne Auguste Charcot, often called Commander Charcot, was born on July 15, 1867 in Neuilly-sur-Seine and died on September 16, 1936 at sea.
