Edmond Huot de Goncourt, born in Nancy on May 26, 1822 and died in Champrosay on July 16, 1896, is a French writer.

He is the founder of the Goncourt Academy, which awards the eponymous prize every year. Some of his work is written in collaboration with his brother, Jules de Goncourt. Alphonse Daudet, born on May 13, 1840 in Nîmes and died on December 16, 1897 in Paris, is a French writer and playwright. He is the husband of Julia Rosalie Céleste Allard, and the father of Léon Daudet, Lucien Daudet, and Edmée Daudet. Hippolyte Émile Louis Fournier, born on March 4, 1853 in Rablay and died on January 12, 1926 in Gonnord, is a French painter, sculptor, illustrator, and museum curator.
