Autographed letter signed by Gal de la Moricière, from Prouzel this Saturday, June 24, 1865. Regarding public works to open up several municipalities in the southeast of Amiens to connect them to the railway and the road to Rouen. The issue is to secure the classification of the road from Ailly-sur-Noye to the Bacconel station and to the road to Rouen as a medium communication road.
The municipalities of the St Sauplier plateau, Brumigny Hébécourt &. Have long been requesting a route that would lead them to the Paris railway (Ailly station) and, furthermore, a passable road that would take them to the valley of the Selle where they have their grains milled [etc]. The Grattepanche slope [etc] are the difficult points. On the other hand, the Rouen railway company, which has established a station at Bacconel to serve the factories in the valley of the Selle and to take a portion of the transit from the road to Rouen, has been requesting for two years that this station be connected to the river on one side and to the road to Rouen on the other." Municipality of Prouzel, Hauts de France, department of the Somme.
