Signed autograph letter from Fromental Halévy, written in brown ink on vellum paper, with his embossed monogram. I recently went to the Conservatoire to have the honor of talking for a moment with Mr. Morin, but I had the clumsiness of getting the wrong day.

However, I need to speak for a moment with Mr. Morin, to ask him if he would agree to give French pronunciation lessons to a young foreign person who is aiming for a lyric theater. Morin would kindly take the time to come to my house (as at the moment a slight indisposition prevents me from going out), I would have the pleasure of talking with him. Dimensions: 13.1 x 20.4 cm. Condition: Small paper loss on the left margin without affecting the text. See photos for more details. Number of pages: 1 page. Fromental Halévy, born on May 27, 1799 in Paris and died on March 17, 1862 in Nice, was a French composer. Halévy studied piano and composition with the most renowned musicians of the time, including Étienne Nicolas Méhul and Luigi Cherubini. He is mainly known for his operas and operettas.
