Frénaud maintains his friend georges raillard of the difficulties of Romanian academics in obtaining publications and periodicals of French literature. Raillard had been appointed the same year director of the French Institute of Barcelona, where he remained until 1969 and became friends with the artists antoni tapies and joan miro.
