Signed autograph letter, Moniteur Universel, 1839. Signed autograph letter from François Sauvo, “one of the editors of the Républicain français, a Girondin newspaper” suppressed in 1793, and director of the Moniteur Universel until 1847. Dated February 21, 1839, in Paris, written in black ink on a double sheet of laid paper with watermark and letterhead of the “Moniteur Universel.” Approximate dimensions: 18.8 x 24.2 cm.

Condition: Note from a previous collector pasted on the front of the letter. Small loss of paper at the seal, not affecting the text.
