Conservatory restoration carried out by a professional, Olivier Maupin in Tours. Addition of paper to the lacunar areas and reassembly of the document, ensuring its preservation for many years. In this letter, Chateaubriand expresses his eager thanks and pays tribute to the merit of his correspondent, in terms imbued with respect and refinement, characteristic of correspondence from this era. He also mentions a monument completed under the Count's administration, adding a valuable historical and administrative dimension to the letter.
