Autographed letter signed dated November 18, 1939, Paris. A three-page letter addressed to journalist Henri Béraud. In this letter, the daughter of Albert Londres first expresses her "painful surprise" regarding the response given by her correspondent's secretary. The matter in question concerns what she describes as the Senate's evasion of the trial of the George-Philippar, the ship on which her father lost his life in 1932. She particularly expresses her doubts concerning the civil trial, which is pending.

Finally, she clarifies the purpose of her letter: she entrusts Henri Béraud with the task of unmasking the instigators of the George-Philippar incident and helping to preserve her father's memory. Dimensions: 21 x 27 cm. Henri Béraud, born in Lyon on September 21, 1885, and died in Saint-Clément-des-Baleines on the Île de Ré on October 24, 1958, was a French novelist and journalist. Initially engaged on the left, he later turned towards the far right and anti-Semitism.
