Félix Ziem - Autograph signed letter card with postmarked envelope - friendly meeting - 1901. Autograph signed letter card by Félix Ziem, addressed to Monsieur Guéry, undated. Written in black ink, with its stamped and postmarked envelope from September 1901. In this brief note, the painter arranges a meeting while expressing his sympathy: Dear Mr. Guéry, Delighted to see you tomorrow, Friday, from 2 to 4 p., if that is convenient for you. With all my compliments and sincere sympathy. A simple but precious piece of correspondence, representative of the artist’s circle of contacts and private exchanges. Félix Ziem, born on February 25, 1821, in Beaune and died on November 10, 1911, in Paris, was a French painter close to the Barbizon School, renowned for his seascapes and views of Venice and Constantinople.
