Signed autograph letter to Armand GODOY, 1929. Signed autograph letter, addressed to Armand Godoy, dated August 11, 1929 in Santa-Maria-di-Nardo. He thanks his correspondent for his submission, finds his translation of Edgar Poe's "The Raven" superb, sends him a translation in Italian of a fragment of one of his poems, and also talks about his work on Elisabeth of Austria.

Enclosed in the letter is the Italian translation of a fragment of a poem by Armand Godoy, which he mentions in his letter. Dimensions: 18.1 x 22 cm. Condition: See photos for more details. He was probably better known and appreciated by his contemporaries abroad than in Italy. Armand Godoy, born in Havana in 1880 and died in Lausanne in 1964, is a Symbolist poet of Cuban origin. Initially involved in the Cuban tobacco trade, he changed languages at the age of forty to become a French poet "in the language of Baudelaire" and settled in Paris in 1919.
