Marie-Joseph Sue, also known as Eugène Sue, was born on January 26, 1804 in Paris and died in exile on August 3, 1857 in Annecy-le-Vieux. He was a French writer, best known for two of his social novels: "Les Mystères de Paris" and "Le Juif errant".
