Signed autograph letter from Eugène SCRIBE addressed to the members of the recruitment council of the National Guard, dated 1832, regarding Achille SCRIBE. In the letter, he requests a one-year leave for his relative Achille SCRIBE, as he is suffering from an illness, the certificate of which was enclosed with the letter. Eugène Scribe was a French playwright and librettist, born on December 24, 1791, in Paris, and died in Paris on February 20, 1861.
