Signed autograph letter to the widow of sculptor Vincenzo Luccardi, 1883. Signed autograph letter dated January 11, 1883, from the famous sculptor and politician Ettore Ferrari. In his early works, he shows romantic tastes; later, he turns to monumental celebratory sculpture, such as monuments to Giordano Bruno or Quintino Sella.

The letter was addressed to the widow of sculptor Vincenzo Luccardi: The executive committee of the Rome exhibition ardently wishes that a work of your late husband, a very distinguished artist, be included in the Retrospective section. To this end, we would like to request his statue of Ajax, which is one of his most precious works and could very well demonstrate the value of the artist... Two pages in-8, on letterhead paper "Roma Esposizione di Belle Arti Presidenza del Comitato Esecutivo". Envelope attached with handwritten address.
