His correspondent and one of their mutual friends thought that he was looking for a draftsman to accompany someone who was going on a trip. In fact, that person is an engineer who must travel to Moldova at the request of the Moldovan government to design railway lines and set up an engineering school. He is therefore looking for assistants, including a draftsman, but one in architecture skilled with a ruling pen, who would be his subordinate, and a roads and bridges supervisor.
