Edmond HARAUCOURT - Autographed Letter Signed "we continue to fight", 1915. Immediately, I recognized your handwriting.
So many years have passed. I was starting my life, and here I am finishing it.Thank you for your sympathy; am I responding very late? But I have almost given up on fulfilling this overwhelming duty. You can't imagine what one receives in the mail, both approval and disapproval, as soon as one writes what one thinks, in these times. So, one gives up on responding, and continues to fight, with the weapons one has, for lack of others, alas.
And then, I work a lot at the museum. I am completely reworking it, so that it too will be more beautiful after the war. I warmly shake your hand. Dimensions: 14.1 x 10.6 cm. Condition: See photos for more details.
