Signed and dated autograph letter from September 29, 1837, in Paris. One-page letter on "Académie Royale de Musique" letterhead addressed to "Madame la Comtesse" thanking her for the help she will provide regarding "an important matter for the art" and the Paris opera that he directs. 20.5 cm x 20.5 cm. Henri Duponchel is a French architect, set designer, and director, born on July 28, 1794 in Paris and died on April 8, 1868. General director of the Paris Opera, he was also a costume designer and goldsmith.
