Cz27 – Autograph Signed Letter – Paul-Aimé Chapelle-Laurencin – Théâtre des Variétés

  

Monsieur Neuville, artist at the Théâtre des Variétés. Laurencin explains that he handed over “Ma Femme et mon Parapluie” the previous evening to Mr. Boulet, who promised to put the play under consideration as soon as possible.

He asks Neuville to regularly remind him of this promise, as Boulet is very busy and may forget about the matter. He then specifies that he found him well disposed and hopes that his correspondent will continue to follow up on the matter.

Paul-Aimé Chapelle, known as Laurencin (January 10, 1806 – December 9, 1890), was a French playwright and librettist. He wrote numerous plays and notably contributed to librettos set to music by Offenbach.
