"Wednesday 5" [circa 1920, back of the preserved envelope]. Your two letters reach me today, and I am sorry for not having received the first one in time. I am not surprised that a man of letters is at odds with numbers! - (hence probably the error in the number). But we are people of magazines (no pun intended), and we will have the pleasure of meeting upon your return.

My friend's Journal will be called Monsieur, if, as I hope, his venture succeeds. Crevel here refers to the magazine "Monsieur" that Jacques Hébertot will found in December 1920 together with Paul Poiret, and in which he will participate (notably for issue 4).
