Long autograph letter signed by Alexandre Boutique, dated August 23, 1891. It begins with a very precise remark: “If I had known under what conditions you had produced the first issue of ‘Chimère,’ I would not have reproached you for not sending me the proof.” Boutique then returns to the corrections, the preparation, and the reception of the first issue. Part of the document also includes a list of contributors and texts, giving this letter particular documentary interest for the history of the review. CONDITION: good used condition, with old folds and some signs of age.
