Dear Colleague,

I am extremely sensitive to the kind invitation you have extended to me to cooperate in the writing of the Journal of Public Instruction; and, although my name is hardly worthy of appearing alongside those of Messrs. I will take it as an honor to follow these illustrious collaborators, under the banner of sound Doctrines, in this noble endeavor, in this crusade against bad taste.

I am also pleased to find a new opportunity to strengthen the bonds of fraternity that already existed between us, my dear Favier, and to see our relations become more frequent.

Please accept, dear Colleague, along with my thanks, the assurance of my sincere devotion.
