Autograph letter signed by a Catholic priest, literary historian and scholar of religious spirituality, member of the Académie française. Long handwritten correspondence on both sides, written from Pau, with the address: “10, rue du Lycée.” The letter begins with a particularly warm salutation: “Dear and illustrious great man.” Henri Bremond refers to various matters and personal concerns. He mentions in particular the Ministry of War: “It is not possible that the Ministry of War should be closed to you.

” The correspondence continues at length on the reverse and ends with Henri Bremond’s autograph signature. Henri Bremond is especially known for his monumental Histoire littéraire du sentiment religieux en France. Numerous old folds from correspondence, creases, small tears, and wear along the edges and corners.
