Actor and stage director, founder of the Théâtre Antoine and later director of the Odéon, addressed to. One page, black ink on fine paper, a few signs of handling, a small loss at the upper right corner not affecting the text. Gémier invites his correspondent to a literary luncheon devoted to Shakespeare. He gives the date, time, and place of the meeting, and humorously mentions the existence of a “Shakespeare Prize,” which his friend will be able to learn about on the spot. “I would be obliged if you would come to the ‘Shakespeare’ luncheon next Wednesday, March 28, at 12:30 p. at the Café de Paris, on the first floor. You will find friends there, and you will learn what the Shakespeare Prize is.
