Autograph letter signed by the composer Benjamin Godard, addressed to René Baschet, dated in Paris, May 21. An old annotation attributes the document to the year 1886. His best-known work remains his most famous.

Godard indicates that his correspondent may come to collect, on Monday between one and two o’clock, the musical piece he had promised him. He then mentions sending several proofs and says he would like to carefully check the result.
