ANDRÉ RAIMBOURG BOURVIL (1917 - 1970), French actor. Autographed letter signed to journalist Paul Carrière.

July 27, 1953; 2 pages in-4° with envelope. A beautiful and rare letter full of humor in response to a survey about the vacations of leading actors: “Here are in just a few lines (on vacation I am so lazy that I have to make an effort to write a little letter) the details you asked for. I am in Bourville, 10 km from the coast, west of Dieppe. I go to the sea every day to take a swim; I often take a shower at the same time because this summer in Normandy (I don't know if you know this) it’s raining! Tell your weather service at Le Figaro that these kinds of tidbits always interest them.

I will keep this up until August 14, and from that date, I will be back to acting. In September, I might shoot a film titled: “It Happened on a Sunday” under the direction of Gille Grangier, with dialogues by Yvon Andouart. I also have to play a guide at the Château de Versailles in Sacha Guitry's film (“If Versailles Were Told to Me”).

I don’t know if you have enough for an article? And then there’s your imagination.
