Autographed letter signed by Roland Bonaparte. One page in 8° with his crowned monogram (blue), addressed to Paris, 10 avenue d'Iéna, Monday, February 25, 1907.

Small marginal tear at the top without loss, otherwise in very good condition. Thanking for congratulations received for his election to the Academy of Sciences in 1907. That same year, his book "Statistics on Mountain Polycephalus Arnicas" was published. Roland Napoleon Bonaparte, Prince Bonaparte, grandson of Lucien Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon.

After starting a military career, which he had to abandon following the adoption of the law of June 4, 1886, prohibiting members of families that had reigned over France from serving in the army, he turned to geography, geology, speleology, and ethnology, and later to botany. He created a very important herbarium. He was more broadly a scientific collector.
