Paris, August 29 and October 28, 1821, to Mr. Lefort, publisher of the historical gallery. 4 pages in-12, addressed in the first letter. Beautiful letters to his publisher concerning two notices on Saint Vincent de Paul and the Duke of La Rochefoucauld, both published in 1825 in the third volume of the Literary and Poetic Works of an Old Man or Collection of Various Writings in Verse and Prose.

August 29, 1821: He had asked him to send him a proof or the original notice on Vincent de Paul by Sunday. I will return one of these two items that you will have sent me by next Wednesday without fail, but I ask you to fulfill this request before Sunday (.) as I need to read the notice on Tuesday at the academy, and I do not have an exact copy.

He thanks him for what pertains to him in Molé's notice, but there are inaccuracies in what is said, which would have been easy to correct. October 28, 1821: He submits the notice on the Duke of La Rochefoucauld; I could not make it shorter, when you read it you will see that there is nothing superfluous. Besides, it will not take more than 8 or 10 of your pages. I will tell you what my tailor said to me the other day, if you want your coat to fit well, you need to use the necessary fabric. I ask you to send me the proof to correct before printing.
