This letter is addressed to rené Wintzen, former chief editor of the journal documents which appeared between 1929 and 1931, and specialist in German literature. He is, at the time of writing the letter, director of the "wind up" editions and collaborates with the new German weekly france. René windzen is also an organizer of symposia between writers, barthes participated in one of them the previous year in vezelay. Roland barthes congratulates him on the meeting he organized and at which he cannot attend: the list of participants is superb!
