One, from his youth, addressed to his "dear Campaux" (from Nancy), undated. 4 pages in-8° on checked paper, has been folded, with small marginal tears at the folds that do not affect the readability of the text. In his letter to Campaux written from Charmes (shortly before 1900), he invites his friend to join him to discuss their respective writings and publications, one in "la feuille de chou" of Meurthe and Vosges, the other in Figaro, which makes Barrès admire. The other letter, to his dear Finot, one page in-4°, on the letterhead of the Chamber of Deputies dated at the end January 28, 1917. It is a response to the call from a group of deputies asking him to debate the laws with them. Included: the magazine "Les hommes d'aujourd'hui," whose first page features a color drawing of Barrès's silhouette as a dandy, by d'Axilette, text by Moréas. Ex libris pasted on the back, wood-engraved. 1 photo in-4°, portrait of Maurice Barrès bust, signed cold in the plate E. Slight marginal fold at one corner without reaching the portrait. Barrès (Charmes-sur-Moselle, 1862 - Neuilly-sur-Seine, 1923) directed the nationalist magazine La Cocarde from September 1894 to March 1895 and delivered the eulogy for the Marquis de Morès in 1896.
